Two Party System of Government
Hello again. I am not sure about everyone else but I personally believe that our system of government, although much better than the rest, still has some major problems that need to be addressed. One way is to have a major third party. Everyone is complaining about how bad the Republican government is under Bush however they fail to realize that the Democrats are in control of the Congress. The present housing problem that our nation has was caused by allowing people who could not afford to buy a home loans that they could not repay and now the same liberal politicians want to give people a break by punishing banks and not allowing them to foreclose. How about politicians doing what they say they are going to do rather than a bunch of mindless chatter and crying for the camera's. Both of our present parties are partners in the budget deficit, it would not have occured if both parties did not agree to the spending. If any of our minor third parties could garner enough support from disenchanted members of the democratic and republican parties then maybe we could turn our government around. We need to stop sending billions upon billions of dollars overseas when New Orleans is not even rebuilt. The New Orleans police department was finally able to move out of trailers and back into their headquarters building this past week. Stop illegal immigration, put up a double fence with a no man's land between them, increase the Border Patrol, support the Border Patrol with our troops that we need to bring home from Iraq and Afganistan. Spend American money on America first. We have catostrophes in this nation all of the time and I can not recall billions of dollars being sent here by any other country. It is time for the political machine to get it right and put America first, they need to do their job by keeping American manufacturing jobs in the US, stop illegal drugs through tougher border security, impose tariffs on imports from countries that have import deficits from the US to allow US companies to compete with cheap foreign labor. Force US companies that want to send our jobs overseas to pay high tariffs to import their products back into the US to try to sell them to the very people that they have laid off in the name of profits for the top brass. Enough for tonight.
